Pine Ridge Pet Centre is also the permanent home to Grandriver Reg'd Kennels, breeders and owners of Nationally Ranked Purebred Champion Labrador Retrievers. Grandriver is recognized as a world-class reputable breeder kennel, which limits the litters of puppies produced annually and breeds only from sound stock. Health, nutrition, hygiene, socialization, interaction, amusement and exercise are daily rituals. This program is fostered to the family members you entrust to Pine Ridge Pet Centre.
Paul Pobega, Owner & Operator, has been involved with animals as a hobby for more than 20 years. Initially, he was a successful breeder of purebred Himalayan Cats, and for more than a decade, he has been a very successful breeder/owner of Nationally Ranked Purebred Labrador Retrievers. As a member of the Canadian Kennel Club, Paul breeds two to three litters of puppies a year, and has kept a kennel for some time, servicing his own dogs and those of his clients.
In the early 90's, a 160 sq. foot kennel building was built for his own dogs, in Southern Ontario. In 1999, the hobby was expanded to include a new 600 sq. foot kennel building. In 2003 Paul purchased 39.5 acres in Oro-Medonte Township and began the role of General Contractor for the 3400 sq. foot State-of-the-Art Facility at Pine Ridge Pet Centre. The Facility is located within view and 75 feet of the owner's residence.
