A widely known practice among yogis in the Himalayas, SAMADHI is a state of suspended animation -- a virtual death where all bodily functions are suspended. This state has been repeatedly demonstrated by Pilot Baba, a Hindu mystic. Although a pilot in the Indian Air Force who fought the 1965 and 1971 wars against Pakistan, the path of his life made him renounce the secular world at the age of 35 to become a yogi.
