Description
Boys from age 6 through 11 join the Cub Scouts to have fun, to learn, and to explore their world while surrounded by 4-6 boys his own age and/or school grade. This group of boys is called a DEN .
Dens are led by a Den Leader, but supported by the parents of each boy in the Den. Each den typically meets once a week and makes crafts, plays games, and learns about each other. Dens grow closer together as the years go on, and as they do, the PACK grows with them.
Each Pack consists of a number of dens; at least one for each age/grade range (2nd through 5th grades). Packs typically hold a meeting once a month and larger activities as often as possible. These activities can be anything from visiting nursing homes to planting trees, from racing cars, boats, and spaceships they've made to overnight camping. When they want to show off and perform next to other packs, they turn to their local DISTRICT .
