About Us

Mercy Airlift is the non-profit disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization that was founded in 1968. We provide an immediate response to natural disasters and complex emergencies by transporting food, medical supplies, medicines and equipment as well as medical and relief teams directly to the sites of disasters.

With our ability to provide the air and ground transportation of emergency relief supplies on a short notice basis, we are able to dispatch loaded aircraft to the disaster site, as soon as the disaster is surveyed and the supplies and commodities required are established. Since our beginning in 1968, we have delivered millions of pounds of food, supplies, medicine and medical equipment to disaster sites, worldwide. We transport materials such as wheat, rice, water, water purification equipment, sanitary supplies, vaccines, clothing, blankets, tents, temporary housing materials as well as heavy equipment and machinery.

Where We Have Helped

When the massive famine occurred in Africa in 1972, Mercy Airlift was there for 27 months providing daily flights to feeding stations in the remote areas of Ethiopia. When the great earthquake of 1976 hit Guatemala and killed 30,000 people, Mercy Airlift was there to bring support and healing. Of these missions and thousands of others, the dedicated personnel and volunteers of Mercy Airlift worked around the clock providing thousands of tons of relief supplies and recovery assistance. Many people died as victims of these tragedies, yet hundreds of thousands on nearly every continent of the world, were saved in thanks in part to the efforts of the Mercy Airlift team.
