Melody Guard is a registered publisher based in London UK. In 2006 Edward Hughes a former graduate of the University of Liverpool UK developed a ground breaking technique involving the digital encryption and fingerprinting of MP3 files. This system went through various stages and is based on the international government standard Sha1-MD5 and their own Melody-Guard-ZH10 custom algorithms. The system finally emerged as the Melody Guard and is used by musicians worldwide to prove their Music copyright ownership. Two ground breaking copyright infringement cases both in the UK Sep 2006 and Dec 2006 proved the Melody Guard as a credible audio security system. Melody Guard continues to attract songwriters and composers worldwide.
