About Melissa
Melissa Jabas is a U.S. Air Force veteran, former software engineer and committed community volunteer. While serving in the U.S. Air Force she received numerous awards for achievements in her field of space operations. Following her service, she worked for Lockheed Martin as a software engineer. Because of Minnesota's reputation for good schools, strong communities and progressive thinking, the Jabas family returned to raise their family in 2000. Melissa and Tom have three children in the St. Francis school district, ranging from preschool to high school.
In addition to raising her children, Melissa remains active in her community and school district. She serves as Co-Chair for the Early Childhood Advisory Council, is the Fundraising Chair and a member of the Audit Committee for the Association of Parents and Teachers in ISD #15, and a member and volunteer of West Bethel United Methodist Church.
