We have a unique medical practice, with a focus on natural health and wellness. Originally an Obstetrics and Gynecology practice, we continue to provide personalized care for women, and have expanded our practice to include men's health. Our treatment approach includes customized recommendations for hormone balance, nutritional supplements, diet and lifestyle changes. Our superb staff help make office visits and coordination of your care as pleasant and efficient as possible . Our goal is for each guest to come away with a new appreciation for the caring and compassion that can be found in a practice where the providers truly enjoy their work .
Dr. Janel L. Meric is originally from Southern California, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine . After graduating with honors from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1987, she completed her residency in Ob/Gyn at the University of Tennessee, Memphis in 1991 . Dr. Meric is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She came to Knoxville in 1993, initially joining a group practice . Dr. Meric has been enjoying the personal environment of her own practice since 1999, and now after extensive additional education and training, she promotes natural health and wellness for women and men . She is certified by the American Academy of Biologically Identical Hormone Therapy. She enjoys her life in West Knoxville with her husband Bert, also a physician, and their daughter Kelly .
Karen K. Nickell is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in natural health and wellness . She received her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Tennessee in 2000, and was the sole recipient of the prestigious Certificate of Excellence for Clinical Practice . Karen's training allows her to evaluate and treat patients independently . Her experience in Cardiology, Family Practice, and Ob/Gyn facilitates her holistic approach to health care . She is certified by the American Academy of Biologically Identical Hormone Therapy. Originally from Kansas, Karen moved from New York City to Knoxville in 1995 . She lives in West Hills with her husband Andrew Wentzel, an opera singer and Professor of Voice at the University of Tennessee, and their son, Forrest .
Harmony Health and Wellness welcomes new guests . We have recently relocated our office to Corporate Square in west Knoxville. Our guests enjoy our newly remodeled office suite with its calm and uncluttered décor, and they are pleased to find easy parking. Ultrasound, minor surgical procedures, and DEXA bone density testing can be performed in the comfort of our office . Our business hours are Monday through Thursday, from 8 am to 5 pm, and Fridays 8 am to 1 pm.
