Description

provide equal access to quality information resources relevant to the natural and cultural resources of the Mid-Klamath River region. The library serves as a technical resource to individuals and organizations active in conservation, restoration, research and other land management efforts in the Mid-Klamath region. It also serves as a general resource for independent learning and community programs, to enhance knowledge and enjoyment of the unique features of the area.

The library was developed in 2002 by the Salmon River Restoration Council, through a grant awarded by the US Fish and Wildlife Service Klamath Basin Fisheries Task Force. The library is currently supported through volunteerism and donations. The Mid Klamath Watershed Council provides generous ongoing support. Adrienne Harling is the project coordinator.

There are two collections associated with the Klamath-Salmon Natural History Library: the Orleans Collection and the Digital Collection. The Orleans Collection is a small reference collection of books, periodicals, theses, dissertations and other materials located inside the Panamnik Building on Highway 96 in Orleans, California. The digital collection contains online publications in the public domain.
