Description
This site is my business, and my workshop is in my home here in Arena, Wisconsin. The business consists of my husband, George (photographer and Webmaster) and me. I would be delighted if you found the site fresh, interesting, and entertaining while you page through the different sections. I also hope you find the necklace and earring sets stunning and lovely.
The wirework, freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and pearls, metal ethnic beads, small wood beads, pendants of semi-precious stones, shells, and sterling silver, gold-filled, and copper are components I've brought together for the sets to provide you with quality hand-made jewelry. Your opinion is very important to me, so please send me a comment when you are moved to do so.
All sets consist of a necklace and matching earrings (you can see both when you click on "View larger image"). If you like the necklace, but don't want the earrings, give them away as gifts, since they are each little beautiful pieces on their own. As far as materials used: all necklaces are strung with beading wire. I make the pieces to last forever. Unless they are specified gold-filled or sterling silver, metal beads are silver- and gold-plated. (Note: the Academy Awards Oscar is gold-plated.) Gold- and silver-plated jewelry can remain in pristine condition for years. Some of my favorite pieces still are in fine condition after decades. All non-metal beads are glass (new additions consist of some lovely shell pendants and gorgeous wood beads). Earring hooks are hypo-allergenic surgical steel (nickel-free). Non-tarnish brass is used for the brass swirls; the color wire is coated copper wire that will not tarnish. Copper beads and findings are solid copper, not plated or coated. I include a small cleaning cloth with the brass sets, copper sets, and sterling sets. If they start to display a patina you don't want, a quick swipe with your little cloth should keep them like new. As with almost anything, take good care of whatever it is, and it will be good to you.
