- My first experience with Personal Computers was back in the early 80s at a retail chain store's electrical section. There was a PC on display and i watched as another kid was doing some simple BASIC programming on the actual PC. Not one to sit back and just sponge off the experience, on my next visit i tried to do what he did and was having some success, but more importantly: interacting with the PC.
