Description

The Hyland House, a museum of early colonial life and architecture, was built circa 1690-1710. Scheduled for demolition in 1916 it was purchased and restored by the Dorothy Whitfield Historic Society. It has been open to the public as a living historical environment since 1918.

Take I-95 Exit 58; Drive south on Rt.77 through traffic light at Rt. 1, to the top of the Guilford town Green. Turn left for a half-block on Broad Street, then right on Park Street (clockwise around the green). Turn left on Boston Street. The house is two blocks on the left.
