- Philoxenia, LLC, is a jointly owned company of Kevin and Karen Burgess and Marc and Cindy Carrier. The two families were brought together by the vision of providing the opportunity for Christian families to open their homes to an elderly person(s). They saw the opportunity to serve and care for an elderly person while receiving financial compensation as a blessing. The source of the name, “philoxenia,” is translated hospitality in the Greek New Testament.
