- Historic Speedway Group 2ND Annual Celebration of the Automobile Car Show, September 27,2008, location Elizabeth Brady Road at Hwy 70A, at the Historic Occoneechee Speedway Entrance. The Occoneechee-Orange Speedway is one of only three Speedways on the National Historic Register along with the Bonneville Salt Flats and the Indianapolis Speedway. Proceeds from this event will be used for Occoneechee-Orange Speedway restoration and preservation.
