In any case, it's filled with contrasts--lush tropical rain forests, grassy rolling hills, dry deserts, sunny beaches and snow capped volcanic mountain peaks...an alluring and exotic tropical island.
In the midst of this beauty, midway between the rain forests of the Hamakua Coast and the deserts of the Kohala coast lies the cool upcountry village of Waimea, where the Post Office is called Kamuela. It is in Waimea that this website stems from.
