Title

Hacienda Iron Craft, Inc.®

Description

Hacienda Iron Craft, Inc.® was conceived in New Mexico in the mid 1980's when it's founder co-owned and operated a decorative hardware store in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Demand was high for rustic wrought iron hardware and the time was ripe for introducing new product into the hardware retail industry. By 1990, Hacienda produced the first hardware specifications and Mexican artisans were recruited in Mexico to build Hacienda Iron Craft's hand-made wrought iron door hardware and bathroom accessories.

By 1992, Hacienda Iron Craft, Inc.® product was introduced into retail hardware outlets in Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. As the building industry boomed in the Southwest throughout the early '90's, Hacienda's management team began to study and develop door and cabinet hardware designs for the growing log cabin industry in the Pacific Northwest. In 1994, Hacienda's owner returned to his family's state of Montana, organized a team of blacksmiths, sheet metal workers and machinists. He moved the manufacturing operation from Mexico to Stevensville - south of Missoula, where Hacienda continues to thrive today... one mile from the beautiful Bitterroot river in the valley between the great Sapphire and Bitterroot mountain ranges.

Hacienda supports the local economy with its "profit share" work ethic. Widespread hardware distribution enables the management, employees and subcontractors of Hacienda Iron Craft, Inc.® to enjoy a rural lifestyle while creating a unique hand-made product.
