Description
Halimar is a traditional family resort that has hosted guests since 1940. The name was created from "Haliburton di Mare", which expresses its unique location on the famous Lake Kashagawigamog, in the centre of the Haliburton Highlands.
Halimar is set on the placid shorelines of Lake Kashagawigamog, part of a magnificent chain of 5 lakes. The pristine waters have been drawing guests back year after year for the fantastic fishing, excellent water activities or simply to capture the timeless beauty as the sun sets over the lake.
In it's more than 60 year history, Halimar changed ownership five times. The Henry's are responsible for most of the buildings and facilities during their 30 year ownership. Halimar boasted the first heated swimming pool (still the biggest, & only pool with diving board), and an asphalt tennis court (now artificial grass), in the Haliburton Highlands.
