Description
- We are a reproductive health service provider and an advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all Filipinos.
- We are a nationwide organization of professional and community-based volunteers. We can be found in 25 provinces across the country. We provide reproductive health services and inform and educate our communities about SRHR, especially the poor, marginalized, socially excluded and underserved. Currently, we operate 30 Community Health Care Clinics (CHCCs) that provide a range of reproductive health care services.
Our Vision
- We envision a world where every woman, man and young person has access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) information and services, and sexuality is seen as a natural and precious part of human life and a fundamental human right.
Our Mission
- We champion sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) through advocacy and provision of reproductive health services especially to the poor, marginalized, socially excluded and underserved people including the young ones. We work in partnership with stakeholders at the national, chapter and community levels. We are committed to the eradication of HIV and AIDS, and the advancement of the right of everyone to enjoy a sexual life that is free from ill health, unwanted pregnancy, violence and discrimination.
Strategic Framework: 5 A’s
- Access: We work to make all Filipinos, especially the poor, marginalized, socially excluded and underserved, become aware of their rights, make free and informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health, and have access to SRHR information and quality services including family planning.
- Adolescents: We work to make young Filipinos (10-24 years old) become aware of their sexual and reproductive health and rights, empower them to make informed decisions and responsible choices regarding their sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing, and to act on them.
- AIDS/HIV: We work to make Filipinos, especially those who are at risk, become aware of the dangers of HIV/AIDS and have access to quality services related to the prevention and care of people living with HIV and AIDS.
- Prevention of Abortion: We work to make Filipinos recognize abortion as a public health issue and have access to quality services that reduce and prevent the incidence of abortion nationwide.
- Advocacy: We push for policy reforms, from national to local levels, and seek all forms of support to SRHR programs from the public and private sectors at all levels.
