First Hotels was begun in 1993 through acquisition of then SARA Hotels in Sweden. Since then we have grown through both purchasing additional hotels and building new hotels from the ground up. First Hotel Skt. Petri and First Hotel G in Gothenburg are examples of the latter and two of the most modern and well-designed hotels in all of Scandinavia.
The fact is that each of our hotels is a source of inspiration in its own right. They are often centrally located in major cities and are not always as traditional as you might first think. Often they have a history which goes back much farther than First Hotels and we are very keen on maintaining their personality.
