In 1997, the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) was facing a dilemma--high insurance costs and limited availability of insurance markets that would provide coverage for its member residential builders and contractors.
FHBA addressed this industry wide challenge by forming a wholly-owned subsidiary known as the Florida Home Builders Insurance (FHBI), a managing general and wholesale operations agency, located in Tallahassee, FL.
The goal of FHBI is to provide FHBA members with cost-effective insurance coverage in lines such as builders risk, general liability and workers compensation.
