- The creator of this web site -- Fredric L. Rice -- first got interested in researching and exposing the notoriously criminal Scientology cult in 1995, the year that Scientology's more criminal lawyers attempted to remove the alt.religion.scientology newsgroup from the Internet. Before then -- in the year 1994 -- I had been doing minimal reading on the criminal activities and indictments but I hadn't really taken much of an interest. Indeed, before 1994 I had been of the opinion that Scientology was a religion and that it was Christian extremists that were responsible for the newspaper exposures I had run into from time to time.
