Our Maine Coast bed and breakfast was first owned by the English family who kept cattle in the attached barn and rented rooms in the main house. Since then it has known seven owners, including the Jacksons. The barn became a carriage house and was then converted into eight rooms plus a large suite and a small cottage has been added out in the rear meadow. Each owner has left a special mark on the place and has worked tirelessly to keep it looking pristine through the many rugged Maine winters and salty mists of summer. English Meadows Inn is our own take on the classic English country house.

A highlight of your visit will be sitting down to a delectable breakfast featuring products from the local farmers whenever possible. Starting with fresh fruit or juice, breakfasts range from quiche, to stratas, to stuffed French toast, and blueberry pancakes with scones, biscuits or muffins made fresh daily. An English "tea" is available in the afternoon upon request.

Lots of activities are available nearby to fill your daily agenda. There are many shops, galleries, restaurants and historic homes in Kennebunkport, ME all within a short stroll from the Inn. Lovely ocean beaches and rocky coastline drives are only minutes away by car. In the evening, you can make your choice from a wide variety of dining experiences that will provide a perfect end to a wonderful day.
