This company was found in 1999 to provide easy access of Arabic books worldwide and to publish electronic books (e-matter) in the Arabic language. One of e-kotob.com's main objectives is to promote the Arabic language-specifically through the Internet.
We are located in Cairo, Egypt which is found at the center of the Arab world and which provides the largest number of Arabic publications. A shareholder in the company is Dar al Shorouk, which was found in 1969 in Cairo and Beirut and is considered one of the largest publishing houses in Egypt and the Arab world. Dar al Shorouk's chairman, Mr. Ibrahim El Moallem is president of the Publisher's Association of Egypt and the Arab Publisher's Association.
