- Douglas Chisholm, D.Sc., P.E. has a long history of engineering experience drawn from working in many different fields. Over the past 25 years he has held positions as Director of Mechanical Engineering at the Institute for Safety Analysis in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Chief of the Research Unit of the Office of Pipeline Safety (U.S. Department of Transportation) and Structural Research Engineer with the Structures and Applied Mechanics Division of the Bridge Structure Group and the Protective Systems Group of the Federal Highway Administration. From 1966 to 1971 he held various positions in the aerospace industries.
