The Sutherland Society, the UK organisaton for cranial osteopathy
Description
The Society began in 1970 as a post graduate study group for cranial osteopathy. It has recently expanded its aims to include the promotion of cranial osteopathy.
To provide the opportunity for shared study and mutual support, to further understanding of the work of AT Still (the founder of osteopathy) and WG Sutherland (the founder of osteopathy in the cranial field).
Membership of the Sutherland Society is open to qualified practitioners who have successfully completed a Sutherland Cranial College, British School of Osteopathy, or other Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation approved course of study at post-graduate level. Most members are osteopaths, but membership is open to other practitioners and a small number of members are dentists who have taken cranial courses.
