- Diabetes and its related complications are epidemic in the United States, and the majority of patients have glucose values that exceed recommended national standards for optimal health outcomes. Yet, our health care system is not designed to deliver and support quality chronic disease care. As a primary care provider, you are challenged to improve management of diabetes in this environment. This unique Continuing Medical Education (CME) program will give you the information and tools necessary to control the crisis in your primary care practice. This program combines active learning techniques – including lectures, case studies and demonstrations of tools – to help primary care providers initiate and adjust insulin therapy.
