Additional Information

The Committee to Reform Democracy in California is not like other political reform efforts. We do not represent any particular political group or political perspective. In California today the right of every citizen to be represented and protected by our democratic process has been neutralized by bribery and corruption.

Therefore we encourage all groups, be they conservative or liberal, to step outside of the system of bribery they are operating in, and put aside their partisanship long enough to restore the core principals and practices of our democratic process.

The site's main tool to promote a democratic revolution in California is through presenting and analyzing the effects of political bribery and corruption on domestic policy. We track the destructive effects of corruption on medicine, public health, education, civil rights, distribution of wealth, and the environment, among many other topics.

We also put particular emphisis on the affects of political corruption on our foreign policy.

The news and analysis component of the site proves that bribery is the real power behind virtually every policy, law, regulation, and earmark that our broken government produces.

Our solution is an innovative initiative that rebalances everyone's right to speak freely and assemble with the right of local voters to select and elect their own representatives. initiative Our initiative bans all outside contributions from non-voters, but preserves their right to contribute to the local or state party that endorses their candidate.

Our initiative preserves the right of the political parties to collect outside monies, and spend them on their local candidates, but limits the total of party contributions to their candidates to 30% of the total contributions made by the local voters.
