Cat Faeries™ began early 1993 when our founder was the contributing editor of Tiger Tribe magazine. This was the first publication to be devoted natural health for cats. She wanted readers to have flower essences and other good things for their cats and themselves. Our founder's background is in Aesthetics, herbology, essential oil therapy, color therapy and flower essences all which she began working with around 1980. Everyone at Cat Faeries are committed hunter-gatherers of information on health, beauty, animals, and flowers. Its pretty cool to be able to put all of that background into a business that helps cats and people.
Our first paper catalog was "written" by our cat Betty, and was mailed out in May 1994. Cats and their people purred with delight over our quality, our whimsical view of life, and our great products. We got letters of praise for our stand that we would never carry or endorse mass made junk which is made in China by slave or child labor. We are proud to say that we are card carrying members of many environmental and humanitarian groups, and are staunch supporters of farmer's markets and foes of globalization.
In January 1995 we launched Cat Faeries first website. We have met and helped thousands of wonderful cats and their devoted people. And saved a few trees by not sending out paper catalogs.
