- I've been asked what it is about Carol Burnett that makes me such a fan. Besides the fact her comedy got me through a rough youth back in the 70's, I think it's because she lived up to herself. When the tabloids lied, she fought them. When she suspected her daughter was on drugs she took action. Through it all she remained solid and kept her sense of humor. That's why, after 35 years I am still a fan of Ms. Burnett.
