Description
We believe that kids should have a chance to be kids. That's why, since 1983, we have provided a therapeutic summer camp for abused and neglected children from Clark, Skamania, and Cowlitz Counties.
Our program pairs counselors and campers on a one-to-one basis so our campers get the individual attention and love that builds self-esteem and helps them learn to trust again.
We believe Camp makes a difference in people's lives. Year after year we've seen the difference in the campers after a week at Camp Opportunity. Kids arrive silent and afraid but at the end of the week are laughing and chattering about the many wonderful experiences they've had. Many of our campers return year after year and some of them join our counselor-in-training program to continue their camp experience through their teenage years.
