Title

Welcome to the Brigantine Garden Club

Description

The Brigantine Garden Club was organized in 1980, as a small, nonprofit organization with specific goals in mind, those being to beautify the Island, promote and develop civic pride and to further an interest in gardening. These goals continue to be accomplished. As you drive around the Island, you can see over 130 garden beds which are planted and maintained by our industrious volunteers. The Club has also been involved in many other community beautification projects. We are very proud of the lovely fountain in the triangle at 30th St. and Brigantine Ave. which played an integral part in our being awarded the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society Tri-State Suburban Greening Award in 2002.

Through the years the Club has been honored with many local, state and national awards. In 1988 we were proud recipients of the National Take Pride In America Award presented by President Reagan. and we were recognized in July, 2001, by our State Legislature for our efforts in helping to “make Brigantine one of the most beautiful communities in New Jersey.”

We welcome new members and joining is easy, just attend our meetings. There are no dues or fees of any kind nor do you have to tend a bed. All we ask is that you be interested in our activities and perhaps help at one of our functions or lend some expertise to other members.
