- Blue Magic Greenhouses is a second generation operation established in 1981 by Leo and Ineke Captein. Born in the Netherlands Leo and Ineke brought their cut flower expertise to the south coast of British Columbia. Now their son Dave Captein is working in the business too. Blue Magic Greenhouses Ltd. was named after the “Blue Magic” Iris variety which we once grew. The image of the Iris remains part of our company as it is incorporated into our logo and sleeves. Over time our product selection has changed but our dedication to the producing premium cut flowers remains.
