Captain Evans was mobilized by the US Army and has been on active duty since February. He is currently serving with the 48th BDE Task Force 1-121 in Eastern Afghanistan. This is a Georgia National Guard Unit that he has been attached to so that they would have enough Senior Police Mentors to do their mission. Although married in January and having legitimate cause to seek a "hardship exemption" he went ahead to do his part.
