The farm at Southwick was started in 1952 by brothers Michael and Roger Bazeley who set up the business with three in-calf heifers named Faith, Hope and Charity.
As tenant farmers on the Southwick Estate we now farm 940 acres with a 210 dairy herd and grow barley, wheat, and oilseed rape.
Michael retired from the business in 2000 and Roger's son Martin, now runs the farm but with huge support from his father. A full time cowman, Colin, is employed to milk the cows and Andy keeps the tractors and machinery going. Andy is also a qualified fork lift driver and can be available at a small charge to help load or unload goods into the barn. The office is manned by Martin's sister Jane who looks after the day to day office administration and reception.
