Arizona Yoga is a studio dedicated to teaching yoga in the Anusara tradition. Anusara yoga is a method of Hatha Yoga founded by John Friend. By teaching yoga in this method, we aim to bring more joy and understanding into the lives of our students and the lives that they will touch. Based on the Universal Principles of Alignment, this method is safe and empowering--physically, mentally and spiritually. The science of biomechanics blended with the basic understanding that all of us are manifestations of Divine Source, is a powerful way to live. Arizona Yoga was the first Anusara studio in the Phoenix/Scottsdale community to provide Anusara teacher training and a complete array of Anusara classes since 1997. Our staff of teachers at Arizona Yoga is either certified Anusara or are in the process of achieving certification. Each one of us is dedicated to guiding and inspiring you on your path to health, awareness and more joyful living.
