She began her academic career as Assistant Dean of Students, then Associate Dean, Scripps College, The Claremont Colleges and later, Assistant Director, Career Planning at the University of Southern California. She moved into the business world as a human resources manager and later became an Organization Development consultant.
Joann has a passion for creating new opportunities for people to release their creative potential. Starting at age 7, Joann began writing poems about people in her life and gave them as gifts for a birthday, anniversary, graduation or other special event.
