- TriAthletes for Education is a grass roots non-profit organization that provides financial assistance for higher education to qualifying young people in Los Angeles and New York. Founded in 2001 by Adam Guild, Scott McCafferty, Colin McCafferty and Jimmy Riccitello, TriAthletes for Education aims to capture the growing popularity of triathlons to create a tuition funds to assist qualifying underprivileged students. Participating TriAthletes seek individual and corporate sponsorships by raising funds in conjunction with their racing participation. Our Athletes pay their own entrance fees and cover our overhead and operating expenses, so every dollar raised goes directly to our tuition fund.
