- Dr. William Robinson grew up in the farming and ranch country of southwest South Dakota, not far from the Black Hills. His life there gave him an appreciation for the West and its horses, livestock, and wildlife. The rigors of post depression prairie life have also instilled in him an interest in barns and homesteads fast disappearing from the landscape.
