- The Alliance for Paralegal Professional Standards (also known as "APPS") is a North Carolina ad hoc organization formed in February 2001.
- APPS' mission was accomplished in October of 2004 with the inclusion of the Plan for Paralegal Certification within the North Carolina Administrative Code and the appointment of the initial Board of Paralegal Certification.
- APPS will keep up this website through 2005 to inform the North Carolina legal community about the Plan for Certification of Paralegals.
