- Most Linux distributions are like fashion clothing, they are meant to be comfortable and good-looking. Even though fashion clothing is fine for the majority of the people, it is not good enough for the police or the military. They need better protection than normal clothes provide. Now imagine how the situation would be like when police and military could only get archaic knight's armour to protect themselves. That would be pretty horrible. Yet that is the situation in Linux-land today. Either wear comfortable, good-looking clothing to feel good in, or wear a clumsy armour to protect yourself. How much of a choice is that?
