I just wanted to take a moment to thank my family and close friends for their undying support of my dreams. I am truly blessed and certain that I would not have the opportunity to pursue those dreams without the love and support they have given me throughout the years.

Adam Wayde, one of Nashville’s local entertainers, is a high profile country favorite performing at many of the famous Broadway nightclubs. Though now well on his way as an upcoming recording artist, Adam earned his spurs in the music business. Success didn’t come easy, but determination, tenacity, charisma, and just plain guts enabled him to overcome considerable adversity and many obstacles that would have discouraged many other individuals.

At the tender age of five, Adams singing roots started on Sunday mornings in church while he, his mother, and two sisters sang songs by the Bill Gaither Trio. His enthusiasm for music carried over in his home where he enthusiastically sang along with Elvis, Andy Williams and others on his mother’s albums.

Even at family get-togethers, while the other children were off playing, he was faithfully sitting on the back porch floor listening to good ole down-home songs sung by his mother and Uncle Ted. Adam remarked, “I was a fan of my Uncle Ted long before I knew he was actually singing Merle Haggard songs.” School was no different. Recognizing his talent, the choir teacher pulled him aside, selected him for all the lead parts, solos, and agreed to help develop his voice one-on-one. Offering great advice to a youngster, she commented, “You have a gift, and what you do with it is up to you.”

A few years later, driving down the road, he saw a sign reading, “Live Music – 9:00pm – 1:30am.” The performing band, “Country Jammers”, was featuring an open mic night. After observing the process, Adam asked if he could sit-in with them. While singing “Lady Down On Love,” by Alabama, Adam was performing his first official public performance.

Two weeks later, revisiting the club with a friend, the band’s leader recognized him sitting at a table. He remarked to the audience, “Folks, have I got a treat for you,” inviting Adam onstage. This time, suffering from a cold, he was reluctant to perform, but gave in to their request, and to his dismay, after singing the first line of “Forever and Ever, Amen,” he received a standing ovation from the crowd.

The music bug had bitten, and Adam was getting hooked. Then, later that night, the bandleader startled Adam by asking him to serve as the groups new lead singer, volunteering to step-back only playing guitar. Overwhelmed, but excited, Adam accepted the position and entered the birth of his new career as a professional entertainer, this first stage lasting over ten years. His high-energy shows were performed in almost every club in Northeast Ohio.

Then life’s dark side slapped him in the face, revealing he had developed cancer, abruptly ending his current performance run, causing him to lose his band. Not one to accept defeat or let adversity keep him down, he immediately sprung into action with the support of his fine doctors, underwent two operations and entered recovery for the next year. As a positive person he chose to benefit from all his life experiences, negative and positive, and learned the power of the smile. In fact, a contagious smile became one of his greatest trademarks adding to his onstage dynamics.

Ready to spring-back into the music business, he again started from scratch creating his new band. This journey took him to twenty-seven states and two countries where he performed top forty hits. Then disaster struck again, causing his band and management team to break up. So it is in the music business, ups and downs, like a yo-yo.

Again starting over, he needed to regroup, taking a gig in a house band for a few years, providing him with time to evaluate his goals and gain additional insight as to the direction he would ultimately need to go. He had made the commitment to advance his career, and “go for broke,” to be recognized as a true industry professional.

He had perfected his craft, his voice, stage presence, performance skills, and was fully committed to becoming the best he could be in his chosen profession. He knew it was time to head for the Mecca of country music, Nashville.

Adam was willing to live a Spartans existence in a small camper for six months permitting him to lower his overhead and totally focus on his work.

In a short time, he recruited a top quality band, and as history reveals he is now one of Nashville’s most renowned local entertainers with an ever-expanding fan base. But that following is now growing beyond Nashville’s borders with the release of his new CD and the excited buzz by fans and industry pros alike.
